The kontakion εἰς τοὺς νεοφωτίστους or to those who have recently received the mystery of Saint Baptism or to those recently illuminated has as a first ermineutical perspective the importance of receiving by the Christians the Mystery of the Holy Baptism, the Mystery that incorporates us in the Church. Sui generis, the text of this kontakion has a theological or parenetic character, displayed through dialogue and refers to two groups of novices in those of the Christian faith, namely: those who have received free baptism through their own will (stanza 131- 2) and those who were constrained to receive him (stanza 14, 15). The present study is an insight into the history of the text of this kontakion, followed by personal opinions towards it the historical issue and the translation into Romanian language of the kontakion εἰς τοὺς νεοφωτίστους.
