Anthroposophy is a spiritual movement founded by the austrian Rudolf Steiner in 1913 as the "Anthroposophical Society", and if we have to fit it into the present religious sphere, it can be said that it is part of the new religious movement, being assimilated as a movement esoteric-neognostic, religious movement with occultic foundation or simply modern spiritual current and science about the spirit as it is called by its followers. Although at the bottom is a syncretistic movement that blends Oriental, Spiritistic and Christian elements and beliefs, its members claim that it constitutes a new Christian orientation that helps man to come to union with God through knowledge.
