Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you that the Faculty of Orthodox Theology ”Dumitru Stăniloae” of the ”Al. I. Cuza” University – Iassy (Romania), in partnership with the Faculty of Catholic Theology of the ”Karl Franzens” University - Graz (Austria) and the ”Saint John of Damascus” Institute of Theology, of the University of Balamand (Lebanon), is organizing the 9th edition of the ”Studia Theologica Doctoralia” - International Symposium on 8th and 9th of June 2017, which will be hosted at Putna Monastery.
This Symposium aims to highlight contemporary concerns of doctoral students from Romania and abroad, both in theological research and other related fields, in order to establish a trans-disciplinary dialogue. The Symposium is part of the scholarly events dedicated to the Solemn Year of Holy Icons, Iconographers and Church Painters and the Commemorative Year of Patriarch Justinian and of the Defenders of Orthodoxy during Communism. – as has been proclaimed by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church for 2017.
We would be honoured if you could attend this event and present a research paper related to the topic of our Symposium.
