The Vespers of the Forefeast of the Nativity of Christ follows la order of the daily Vespers. This structure allows the use of hymns at Lord, I have cried..., at Aposticha and as Apolitikia. The stichera used at Lord, I have cried..., are different in the Greek and in the Slavonic traditions; these differences influenced the Romanian Menaion. The present study intends to describe and to organize the vesperal stichera of the forefeast preserved in the printed editions of the December Menaion.
